Each one of us have different values. But what are values? As defined in business dictionary, it is important and lasting beliefs or ideals shared by the members of a culture about what is good or bad and desirable or undesirable. Values have major influence on a person’s behavior and attitude and serve as broad guidelines in all situations. A person’s values may change people’s act and behavior. Parents, religion, education, social institution and technology are some of the influences.

I am grateful to De La Salle University, they are training us to become a good person and leader. If you want to understand a person’s behavior, you must understand his/her values. Values form the foundation of our life and one of the most important factor when having relationship with people. My values influences my decisions in related to my relationships, career and other activities I engage in.

I face tough decisions everyday but I must not forget that my values will influence my decisions, I can see whether those values contribute to my dissatisfaction or bring happiness.

”Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny” Mahatma Gandhi
